Metal: Hellsinger might be a banger…a headbanger

I would have called it Just Decimate By name alone,Metal: Hellsingeris not a game I have any interest in. I’m not a fan of heavy metal music — despite the efforts of one community moderator — because I generally don’t enjoy an album that’s 50 minutes of people screaming into a microphone. However, if there is one place the music does speak to me, it’s in my demonic first-person shooters.Doomis a great vessel for metal music, butHellsingerlooks to take it even further by tying its shooting mechanics to the music itself....

Sony PSN ‘price monopoly’ antitrust lawsuit dismissed by court

Sony PayStation A Californian court has granted the request of Sony Interactive Entertainment that it dismiss a class-action lawsuit, filed in 2021, that accused the publisher of maintaining a monopoly over the price and distribution of digital games via its popular online store, PlayStation Network (PSN). The consumer-led lawsuitalleged that SIE held full control over the prices of all titles sold via the PSN store, arguing that the removal of digital game codes from high street retailers, (a practice that Sony halted three ago), meant that Sony now held a “price monopoly” in regards to the sales of all digital PlayStation video games, forcing consumers to exclusively use PSN and pay its respective prices....

Sony reveals Guacamelee 2 at Paris Games Week

Looks rad By way of Paris Games Week, Sony has just announcedGuacamelee 2. Once again it’ll be handled by DrinkBox Studios, and will be out “soonish” according to the stream, with four player co-op (which as it turns out is 2018). Right now it’s only been confirmed for PS4, but if I know DrinkBox, they have no interest in relegating themselves to just one platform forever (they’ve even branched off into the mobile realm), so my guess is that Sony has some sort of timed exclusivity on this one....

Sony will talk about other DualSense colors ‘at some point’

‘It’s a hard enough job to get [one] unit’ out for the PS5 launch Will there be other DualSense colors beyond the default white gamepad? Of course. Eventually. Sony came out with dozens of alternate colorways for the DualShock 4, so it’s only a matter of time for the PS5 controller. Will we be able to pick up a non-white DualSense at launch? I wouldn’t count on it. Apart from sharinghands-on impressionsof the DualSense controller and the PlayStation 5 pack-in gameAstro’s Playroom, Geoff Keighley also spoke with PlayStation’s head of worldwide marketing Eric Lempel for about 15 minutes....

SWTOR devs speak: Jedi Consular or Imperial Agent?

Last Friday we got a taste of what theJedi Consular was all aboutas I drooled over the versatility of the class. Today the website hasuploaded a videowhere developers of the game debate over which class is better: the Jedi Consular or the Imperial Agent. Besides the opinions of the developers, this video does a decent job explaining how these two classes differ in terms of story and gameplay. The Imperial Agent always stays hidden and has access to the longest ranged weapons in the game while the Jedi Consular does more investigating and can either deal close-medium range damage or use defensive Force powers....
