As reported by Bleeping Computer, Sony Interactive Entertainment sent a notification to around 6,800 former and current employees informing them that a cybersecurity breach had exposed their personal information. It is believed that the breach occurred on May 28 when an “unauthorized party exploited a zero-day vulnerability in the MOVEit Transfer platform.” Sony is not the only organization affected by the MOVEit vulnerability, and the list of victims includesUS government agenciesandthe BBC....

Sony PayStation A Californian court has granted the request of Sony Interactive Entertainment that it dismiss a class-action lawsuit, filed in 2021, that accused the publisher of maintaining a monopoly over the price and distribution of digital games via its popular online store, PlayStation Network (PSN). The consumer-led lawsuitalleged that SIE held full control over the prices of all titles sold via the PSN store, arguing that the removal of digital game codes from high street retailers, (a practice that Sony halted three ago), meant that Sony now held a “price monopoly” in regards to the sales of all digital PlayStation video games, forcing consumers to exclusively use PSN and pay its respective prices....

Once again it’ll be handled by DrinkBox Studios, and will be out “soonish” according to the stream, with four player co-op (which as it turns out is 2018). Right now it’s only been confirmed for PS4, but if I know DrinkBox, they have no interest in relegating themselves to just one platform forever (they’ve even branched off into the mobile realm), so my guess is that Sony has some sort of timed exclusivity on this one....

Today the website hasuploaded a videowhere developers of the game debate over which class is better: the Jedi Consular or the Imperial Agent. Besides the opinions of the developers, this video does a decent job explaining how these two classes differ in terms of story and gameplay. The Imperial Agent always stays hidden and has access to the longest ranged weapons in the game while the Jedi Consular does more investigating and can either deal close-medium range damage or use defensive Force powers....
