As part of Steam Next Fest back in June, I wrote about a lot of games, and all of them stood out for their own reason. Now, these games are starting to get their full releases and one of them stands out —Galaxy Burger. The concept ofGalaxy Burgeris simple: travel the universe opening a string of burger joints to serve aliens (and mecha-cats) their much needed junk food. As a concept, it’s pretty simple and actually oddly relaxing, but one of the features in the full game which wasn’t in the demo is Multiplayer....

In a demo at GDC 2011 Nintendo Producer Hideki Konno showed off an interesting demo that may point to Nintendo’s eventual future for home consoles. In this tech demo Konno used a Wii Nunchuck to control the 3D depth effect (kind of like the 3DS’ 3D slider) in a special version ofMario Kart Wii. Key word: Tech demo. Not a real game. Yet. If anything, this shows that glasses-free 3D is possible on the Wii....

A 46-year-old man has been charged with assaulting a 13-year-old for mocking him during a game ofCall of Duty: Black Ops. The man was killed during a match, and then taunted, causing him to find and attack his digital killer. Unemployed Mark Bradford had been playing the PS3 version all day, and the headset mockery caused him to see red. The boy was at a friend’s house, and Mark happened to know the friend’s mother, so he stormed over there to have a fight....
