That TV show that caused some totally normal people to smash up a Mcdonald’s is seeing new representation in Player First Games’ brawlerMultiVersus.Rick Sanchez, of popular Adult Swim seriesRick and Mortyfame, is now available to purchase in-game, joining his grandson Morty, who wasadded to the rosterback in August. Both mad scientistandtroublemaking grandpa, Sanchez will be bringing his laboratory skills to the battlefield as a Mage-class fighter. Choosing the far ground as his ideal point of attack, Sanchez utilizes a number of ranged abilities in order to work over the opposition from afar, and is even able to beat a hasty retreat thanks to his use of reality-bending teleportation portals, which operate in a similar fashion to Bugs Bunny’s tunnels....

According toVariety, Rocksteady is working on aBatman: Arkham Cityprequel that’s set in the Silver Age. It’ll tell the story of how Batman first met The Joker, and will seemingly carry much of the 50s aesthetic with it, as opposed to the dark and modern take we’ve seen in previous games. As part of DC Comics’ new plans to “monetize” its superheroes, the story will also involve Batman joining the Justice League of America....

That new cover mechanic is, uh, interesting We’ve had some clips here and there, but this narrated mission (an extension of what was shown at E3) is our first proper look at the gameplay ofWarhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III. Watching this 12 minutes or so of footage, it’s apparent Relic has largely moved away from theDawn of War IIdesign of smaller-scale, cover-centric skirmishes toward base-building and all-out spectacle. That’ll make certain fans very happy, but as someone who preferred the former approach, I’m torn for the time being....

Every year from the end of September until Halloween, the Universal Studios theme parks in Orlando and Hollywood are given a fright-filled makeover forHalloween Horror Nights. Visitors are treated to an evening of gore, haunted houses, and costumed nasties, including Freddie Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and other iconic figures in recent years. During SDCC, Universal announced that, for the first time, it would be adapting a videogame property for Halloween Horror Nights 2012....

I’ll take another one in free AMC A-List form So theSonicmovie went pretty fast at the box office, to the tune of $306.8 million on an estimated $81-95 million budget: even accounting for marketing and not counting all of the VOD (video on demand) sales, those are respectable returns. But according to director Jeff Fowler, there are no current talks underway for a sequel. Speaking to USA Today, Fowler notes “There’s so many more great characters to bring in and just more stories to tell,” and that “nothing would bring [him] more happiness than getting another shot with these characters and to tell more stories,” but no current plans for said sequel exist....

Evolution of PlayStation The Evolution of PlayStationvideo seriescontinues with another installment, this time centered around Sony’s efforts in mobile gaming. Had you not been around these past eight or so years, you could be forgiven for thinking the PlayStation Portable was masterfully handled. Hell, for a second there, I couldn’t help but fondly reminisce about the system. And that’s not to say it isn’t worth remembering in a positive light — there obviously were good games and good experiences to be had — but one can’t forget that thePSPgoexisted....

It has a distinctly vertical feel to it, and the isolated feel of the surrounding water really adds to it....

At the time of writing,Starfieldhas amixed review score on Steam. Look, it’s not abadgame. It’s just not the dynamic-shifting epic Bethesda hoped it would be. But still, the studio is keeping that spaceship flying with some new features coming in the future. After three weeks of off and on play, I’m finished. I logged 60 hours and 13 minutes as of yesterday. I’m finally finished withFinal Fantasy XIII, the Japanese version.
