Hello Games gave uscryptic messages teasing anotherNo Man’s Skyupdate, but now they’ve unveiled the whole plan. Or, at least, the first half of the full plan. TheNo Man’s Sky5.0 update is called “Worlds Part 1,” and it’s a doozy. The update is giving a facelift to the entire galaxy, and it’s making exploration more immersive than ever. There are some big visual changes – like gravitational anomalies that create Pandora-esque floating islands – that will dramatically change how planets look, but I’m even more excited for all the small touches that Hello Games is rolling out....

We were kind of worriedabout the new voice acting recorded for the upcomingSilent Hill HD Collection. It might have been fine, but it could have gonevery wrong. Thankfully, Konami has announced that there will be an original voice option forSilent Hill 2in the HD collection. Prices still unknown Justa few days ago, publisher SODESCO unveiled that a limited edition ofOwlboywas coming to PS4 and Switch. Along with the July 13 release date, all the details are out on what this LE contains and it looks great. Obviously the game is included, but you’ll also receive a certificate of authenticity, the soundtrack, a game manual, a notebook, some pins and coins with a box to store them and a sticker sheet....

Destructoid is DOOMed Maybe the biggest gaming surprise of the year so far has been how excellentDoomturned out. Seriously, there was tremendous doubt all the way up until the minute it launched. Then, once the campaign starts, well, those concerns all melted away. It’s just so damn good. InDestructoid’s official review, we gave it a 9 out of 10. Almost perfect! A round-up of last month’s community musings Every now and then, when a game’s natural progress and in-game collectibles edge me towards the game’s Platinum trophy, I am roped back into the trophy hunting game. Every time, I come to regret it, knowing that I the hunt is sucking the fun out of the game, but also knowing that I cannot stop until I get that trophy. Once I hear the final trophy chime and see the title of that last trophy, I am almost always filled with a spent and vapid empty feeling of disgust at both myself and the game....
