Take-Two calls virtual currency ‘fictions created by game publishers’ amid microtransaction lawsuit

Take-Two Interactive has an interesting response to gamers upset with what the company does with the in-game currency they buy. In anongoing disputeover whether money is essentially stolen when a game’s servers shut down, Take-Two characterized in-game virtual currency as “fictions created by game publishers.” Currently Take-Two is facing a class-action lawsuit in California related to microtransactions in theNBA 2Kgames. Particularly, the lawsuit takes issue with the fact that when Take-Two takes down servers for old games, players lose access to the virtual currency (VC) that they bought....

The big Pokemon Legends Daybreak update is out, here’s the patch notes

Pokemon LegendsDaybreak is version 1.1.0 YesterdayThe Pokemon Company dumped quite a bit of info on us from all their major game lines, including thePokemon Legends: ArceusDaybreak update, which launched shortly after the presentation. Thus far, the patches have been extremely light. Version 1.0.1 “fixed some problems,” and version 1.0.2 upped the ante of bug fixing by a tad. Daybreak actually adds a ton of content. Breaking it down, a number of “post-credit” quests (requests) are now in, which follows the post-game storyline....

I sat with a near-final Oculus Rift on my head for over an hour with no signs of illness, just a sweaty face and pinched nose bridge (my nose is very big)....

Like… totally radical? Tubular? Gnarly? Something like that. I used to have aSonic the Hedgehogskateboard. My dad modified it to let me turn it into a scooter whenever I wanted, and it was the coolest thing in the history of forever… until I tried to do an ollie. I, in all my nine-year-old stupidity, didn’t understand I had to actually jump to do the trick. Instead, Istampedon the front of the board with all my weight and expected to be catapulted into the air, pulling off a “wicked sick” ollie to be remembered through the ages....

Now there’s a game that would’ve eaten your quarters Yesterday, we posted a very cool video that combined the animation of Studio MDHR’s platformerCupheadwith the grim terror of FromSoft’sDark Souls. When gamer fashion goes tragic

I was browsing the intertubes this morning in hopes of finding a new t shirt to add to my wardrobe, because like most women, I love to shop. What a life! Anyway, back to the point. Although I didn’t find anything while I browsed about, I did find that there are an unsufferable number of terrible gamer related T-shirts on the market, most of which I would not want to be caught dead wearing....
