Few games feature distracted soccer moms drifting into your lane while some redneck’s coalrolling up ahead....
Time to give this another look Little King’s Story? Great! A wonderful Wii game somewhat in the vein ofPikminbut with its own style and humor.Little King’s Storyon PC? That’s another matter entirely. Summing up his assessment of the PC version, Patrick called it “playable” and noted that was “about as far as [he’d] be willing to go.” Thankfully, things are looking up. PC players can test out their brain powers too Scarlet Nexuswent live for PC and consoles back in June. Before then, ademo was launched, but just for console platforms. Today, Bandai Namco confirmedthe demo is now availableon PC as well. The publisher didn’t specify a reason for the delay of the PC demo, which isnow live on Steam. There’s also a new DLC Pack on the way as well, which unlocks a new EX level bond extension, opening up new SAS powers and bond episodes, as well as additional costumes and weapons....

Sound tech to benefit gaming products Turtle Beach, makers of fine gaming headsets, has just announced plans to acquire Parametric Sound Corporation in a reverse merger. The transaction is scheduled to close before the end of the year. This small San Diego-bawed sound company sits on audio technology that Turtle Beach feels could further their audio products. This morning’s press release says that Parametric’s audio tech provides an immersive audio experience that existing speakers cannot match....
Some employees say they weren’t given notice Ubisoft could see layoffs of up to 60 employees at two different offices, as part of an organizational shift. Both the North Carolina and Newcastle locations are impacted. These cuts look to be happening in the Customer Relations side of Ubisoft. The publisher confirmed the job cuts in a statement toEurogamer: “Ubisoft’s Customer Relation Center team is evolving its organisation to focus on where we can have a significant impact while remaining steadfast in our commitment to consistently support our players anywhere in the world....
Joining the previous ‘One Life Match’ I’m still completely unsure aboutUmbrella Corps— worried even — but Capcom is keen on continuing to share information for it, so I’ll at least listen in from a distance. The next mode is called “Multi Mission,” and the entire gimmick is that it randomly cycles through eight gametypes. That sounds…okay I guess? I mean, a few of them are standard rulesets like “deathmatch” and “domination” that are already in a million other shooters, but hopefully the more unique ones will stand out....
Plotting out the rest of December for Maximum Gaming Now that it’s December, I’m taking one last look at my backlog in hopes of wrapping up more games and rolling into the new year with a relatively clean plate (only to immediately fill it up again). It’s a futile exercise – there’s always going to be more to play – but it’s become an end-of-year tradition for me. The big one will beHyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which I’m happily chipping away at during most evenings....
A week? Destiny 2‘s Forsaken expansion is out next week, but its initial raid offering isn’t. Last Wish is actually due to spring up 10 days after its launch, which has created a rift within the community. Some think it’s not long enough, and some think it’s way too long — and in some ways the latter group with be factually correct as this is the longest Bungie has made its players wait to date....
