IPPON SNK has released a trailer announcing a brand new entry in theSamurai Shodown(Samurai Spiritsin Japan) fighting game series. The new trailer showcases many of the series’ popular characters, such as Haohmaru, Nakoruru, Galford and the hook-wielding Earthquake, as they fight it out in what appears to be 2.5D action, not unlike SNK’s recentKing of Fighters XIV.We get to see theSamShoguys ‘n’ galsengaging in brutal, blood-spewing one-on-one combat. Originally launching in arcades and on the Neo Geo platform in 1993, theSamurai Shodownseries is typified by taut technical battles, ancient Japanese aesthetics and sobering violence....

Toys to fill you with DETERMINATION Two more legendary faces from the world of video games are joining the mammoth Nendoroid figure range. As revealed this morning by merch-makers Good Smile Co., the rascally duo of Sans and Papyrus from popular RPGUndertalewill soon be given the dinky Nendoroid treatment, ready to sit on your bookshelves and offer you the worst life advice. Unfortunately, Good Smile did not have any prototype images to show off, but the bony brotherswere revealed on Twitterwith an artist’s impression of their final forms....

Will forgo their bonuses, and that includes Kaz Hirai The Wall Street Journalis reporting that Sony CEO Kaz Hirai, along with other executives at Sony, will be forgoing their bonuses, taking up to a 50% cut in annual pay. This news comes ahead of Sony’s fiscal year taking place tomorrow, where the company is expected to be reporting a net loss of 130 billion yen ($1.3 billion). Sony is performing well in regards to the PlayStation 4, their new Walkman music players, and 4K TVs, but all the growth in these areas aren’t enough to fix Sony’s bottom line....

It paid off Cupheadtook the world by storm fairly quickly, selling like gangbusters and winning several awards before the year is even over — but even if you’ve already 1000/1000-ed it this new video from Did You Know Gaming is worth a watch. This clip is probably one of their best, going over various homages in the game and a rundown of development. There are some really cool tidbits in there, like how one of the developers identified with Luigi so heavily that he wanted to bring co-op into the mix with a different character, and how spouses and friends were involved in the creation process....

More TV-like commercials will soon be airing on a number of Xbox Live applications, with 15-30 second spots breaking up your entertainment.
