See how Dragon Quest XI is progressing with these quick clips

From a recent stream Over in Japan, NHK General had aDragon Quest30th anniversary special filled with your typical reverent type stuff, but it also provided a brief look atDragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time. In it, we got a few more details like equipment management, the camping mechanic, dragon riding, and some clips of the battle mechanic. We’ll see a lot more this year as it’s due in 2017 on both the PS4 and 3DS — and a Switch port is currently being worked on, but not fully confirmed/announced (Square Enix has been wishy washy with it, stating that it exists, but not listing it on their official documents for it, much like the console version ofDiablo IIImany years back)....

Several games we like have been greenlit on Steam

And some (probably a lot) we don’t Steam Greenlight isn’t a total wasteland yet, but when 75 titles are now getting approved for release on the platform in a single batch, there are bound to be duds. Let’s not talk about those. Instead, let’s focus on the positive — like the humorous arena game about people pretending to be planes,Cult of the Wind, or that wondrous Metroidvania RPG,Heart Forth, Alicia. It’s a nice feeling indeed to see that a game you only just heard about days ago is headed to Steam....

Take a gander at Wild West Online’s first gameplay footage

Yeehaw Wild West Online‘s core concept is exciting. The open-world, cowboy themed MMO promises gunfights, bounties, and memorable nights at the saloon. Up until recently, I wasn’t too sure howWild West Onlinewould work. The idea of an MMO in a persistent Western setting sounded enticing, but it lives and dies by the amount of content available to players. The first gameplay video for the upcoming game is a small taste of what to expect, but it’s more than enough to pique my interest....

Now in Early Access Over the course of the last eight months I’ve become engrossed in the world of Fantasy Flight Games’Lord of the RingsLCG, despite the fact that it was released all the way back in 2011. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the concept “LCG” stands for “Living Card Game,” which is basically a fancy way to say “there’s no blind boxes.” This adaptation is built upon the foundation of co-op, and each pack is a fixed list of cards of the player and encounter (enemy) variety....
