Some new details have finally been uncovered for said update, which goes live on consoles next month. The refinement update will feature balance changes for various characters, as well as stamping out bugs across the board. The fishing mode will be adjusted so that players with more than ten fish can still acquire all items....

Blizzard has released a list of hotfixes, finally letting players know about all the quick changes it’s made to the game recently.As suspected, the Demon Hunter and Wizard have had their most useful skills downgraded, and the Monk has been controversially nerfed. A number of exploits have been fixed, with a few tricks for easy kills and loot no longer viable. Over thirty errors disrupting the game’s service have also been addressed, which should hopefully make for a smoother experience all round....

But who owns Trenched? Today, indie developer/publisher Double Fine announced that it had regained the rights toIron Brigade, a 2011 downloadable title originally published by Microsoft Studios under the nameTrenched. From this point on, the game will be published by Double Fine. To celebrate the property changing hands, it has released a title update forthe Steam versionof the game that fixes “all known issues,” according to project lead Smilin’ Brad Muir....

Those that followed Nintendo’s presentation yesterday may have seen a few teases in the trailers and coverage that made you think ofStar Fox. I remember at least seeing an R-Wing flying out of something. I don’t think anyone would disagree that we’re long overdue for a newStar Foxgame, and thankfully Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto agrees. He feels that the 3DS is the best way to bringStar Foxback, too. He says that the DS touchscreens were probably not the best for games in the shooting genre, and that the small screens don’t help....

Social media megacorp Facebookhas acquired Beat Games, the independent studio behind excellent virtual reality rhythm gameBeat Saber, as part of its upcoming VR initiative Oculus Studios. “Today we’re announcing that Beat Games is joining us in our quest to bring VR to more people around the world,” said Director of Content Mike Verdu in a statement on the Oculus Blog. “They will join Oculus Studios as an independently operated studio in Prague, continuing to create new ways for people to experience music and VR gaming… Beat Games’ accomplishments are already impressive, but Facebook and the Beat Games team know that there is so much more that can be done across VR, games, and music....

I’m pretty pumped for the upcoming release ofTony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD. Today, Activision has given me even more to look forward to by confirming that the first round of downloadable content for the game will include stages originally seen inTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3. Which levels will appear has yet to be decided by the folks at Robomodo and they’re once again turning to the fans for guidance. Grappling hooks are cool A first-person platforming adventure in which you play as a guy looking for his lost uncle might not sound immediately appealing as far as game setups go, butA Story About My Unclehas got a grappling hook and pretty floating islands to use it on. It’s winning me over. I’m also liking the sound of the game’s non-violent nature. Shooting things to bits is fun a lot of the time, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t find it to be funallof the time....

Microsoft’s taking it Outback behind the shed Forza Horizon 3is not long for this world. We’re quickly approaching the four-year anniversary since it launched, and that’s probably when it’ll run out of gas — at least for new buyers. Microsoft is delistingForza Horizon 3sometime in the near future, probably around or on September 27. It’s formally called “End of Life,” indicating that no one will be able to buyForza Horizon 3or any of its DLC....

Kirby’s Return to Dreamlandis out October 24, and Nintendo’s release some art to get us all pumped. It’s bright and cheerful, and I’ve already made the Beam Flare picture my new desktop background, because it’s awesome. Return to Dreamlandoffers super-duper versions of Kirby’s regular Copy Abilities, and this selection of art gives a sneak preview of each of them. They’re pretty damn badass. My review copy arrived yesterday and I am not allowed to talk about the game yet....
