Revisiting the Kerbal Space Program

Last year, I got to take a quick look at the in-progress alpha for an interesting little game calledKerbal Space Program. The game was centered around building a rocket ship — or, more a kind of rocket-propelled contraption — to help propel some brave Kerbal astronauts into space and orbit. It was somewhat limited at the time in that it did not have any targets for you to reach and contained only a small supply of building parts by default....

Sadness is DEFINITELY coming by Fall 2009

Sadnessis an ironic title for Nibris’ vaporware Wii game, because its coverage thus far has been invariably humorous. Star Wars: Hunters has quirky characters like a two-kids-in-a-trench-coat Jawa duo

The new cinematic trailer introduces the cast After an unremarkable Nintendo Direct teaser trailer inFebruary, we’ve got a better idea of what to expect fromStar Wars: Hunters, a free-to-play third-person arena shooter coming to Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android in 2022 from Zynga. There’s a cinematic. Before you bail, it’s worth a morbidly curious glance. Set on the planet Vespaara post-Return of the Jedi, it’s the classic (monetizable) tale of hunters from different backgrounds duking it out for glory in an arena....

The genre hybrid itself is a lot to take in all at once....

uPlay workaround resulted in Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon leak

Can this game just come out already? Although the leaked footage of Ubisoft’s absurd(ly great-looking) standalone gameFar Cry 3: Blood Dragonhas been removed, it’s too late; we’ve seen everything. One has to wonder, however, where the leak originated from. It appears to be the result of a uPlay workaround which Russian hackers have used to freely download games from Ubisoft’s servers. According toGameranx, these individuals were able to trick the uPlay executable into assigning them ownership of titles they had not paid for, allowing them to directly download and play games offline....

Why do the Umbrella Corps look like Transformers?

Bumblebee, roll out! Capcom is releasing the squad shooterUmbrella Corpsnext month, which takes place within theResident Eviluniverse. There’s some cool looking things about it (a heated scythe melee weapon?) and some not cool looking things about it (read: most of it), but this new video showcases an Antarctic stage, which draws inspiration fromResident Evil: Code Veronica. I’m not sure who this game is for, but I’ll give it a shot. Hopefully it’ll be better than the abysmalOperation Raccoon City, and the multiplayer co-op looks promising....
