Blizzard are not talking with Microsoft about a possible next-generation console, according to a statementGameSpotreceived from a Blizzard representative. Let’s backtrack for a second. Last week, during a GDC discussion, we reported that Blizzard vice president of game design Rob Pardo told GI.biz that Blizzard werespeaking with Microsoft about a new console. Simple story, really, but apparently Pardo’s words were misunderstood. “In the Lunch with Luminaries discussion, Rob said that Microsoft occasionally bounces ideas off of us, with no specific reference to any possible future consoles,” the rep said....

Battlefield 3‘s presenceat the Electronics Arts E3 press conference started out nicely enough. Look at those lighting effects! And the particles, oh boy, let me tell you about them. On the visuals side, it was a riot, no doubt about it. But then it kept dragging on, and on. And on some more. The tank demonstration was simply too long to throw in a conference like that. Right this moment is a perfectly acceptable time for it, though....
