One of the more unexpected reveals during the September 2023 Nintendo Direct isBandle Tale: A League of Legends Story. The cozy-looking pixel-crafting RPG is in development by Lazy Bear, the studio behindGraveyard KeeperandPunch Club.
Bandle Taletakes place in theLeague of Legendsregion of Bandle City. Players will take on the role of a Yordle looking to restore the magic to Bandle City. With the help of familiar Yordle friends like Teemo, Lulu, and Tristana, the player will gather resources and craft a plethora of items to build up their city.
The crafting RPG looks great and reminds me a lot ofStardew Valley. There’s something about well-done pixel art when it comes to this type of game. There’s been a ton of games released lately that take place in theLeague of Legendsuniverse, some of which have been great and others that have been average. Hopefully,Bandle Taleturns out to be a solid addition to the genre on Switch.
