Warner Brothers has commented on the issue ofbroken DLC codesshipping with copies ofBatman: Arkham City, insisting that only a small percentage of consumers were affected, but that it will resolve the issues concerning an otherwise “successful” launch.

“Since Tuesday’s incredibly successful launch ofBatman: Arkham Cityin North America, our customer support team has received a very small number of calls/emails (less than 0.05 percent of total units sold) regarding Catwoman codes either being invalid or not included in the game packaging,” it said. “While the number of affected versions is very small, WB Games apologises for any inconvenience this has caused and we are committed to getting these issues resolved as quickly as possible.”

Having a small percentage of problems isn’t an excuse, not when it’s a problem that never needed to happen in the first place.

As well as Catwoman, codes for various pre-order skins and special edition DLC have also been causing gamers grief. Hopefully WB has plans to make things good with those, too!
