Nicalis’ forthcoming platformer hits Steam next month

Castle in the Darkness, the next ultra-difficult platformer fromCave Storyand1001 Spikespublisher Nicalis, is poised to debut via Steam on February 5.

The project was developed by Matt Kap, the lead artist behindThe Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.

Big boss Jordan Devorevetted the game at PAX last year, likening the experience to balls-hard NES classics, such asCastlevania, adding it “could be pretty cool at the right price.”

Well, that price is $6, which seems pretty nice. Cool, even.
