Questing acrossSkyrim‘s vast and wintry landscape is tiring work for any adventurer. It’s a good job the game lets your character take a sleep then. But what if – horror of horrors – there aren’t any beds available, or you can’t afford a night in a tavern? You guessed it. Modding comes to the rescue once more.

We return to veteran Nexus Mods userJaySerpa, who, this time, has given us a way for the Dragonborn to catch some much-needed Z’s without the need for a bed. “Take a Nap” allows your character to get a little bit of sleep while sitting down, be it in a chair or on a bench.

Skyrim: a character asleep on a chair with their head in their hand.

The above video shows that it has more than just an extra sleep option. Animations show your character putting their head on the table, closing their eyes, and even waking up with back pain (resulting in reduced stamina for a bit).

“Look, pal, you can’t stay here!”

Of course, what kind of immersive mod would this be if it didn’t have some reactions from nearby NPCs? According to JaySerpa, patrons who notice you taking a nap at a table may have something to say. While some don’t seem to mind, others may take exception to you hogging up seating space with your snoring and drool.
