Will Crash live up to his namesake?

PlayStation has released a whopping 20-minute gameplay video for the upcoming kart racerCrash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled– essentially a remake of the popular 1999 PS1 titleCrash Team Racing– which will be leaving the starting grid in about a month’s time.

The video showcasesNitro-Fueled‘s Adventure Mode, which will allow players to run a gauntlet of characters such as the titular bandicoot and his buddy Coco in a series of races, getting to grips with the mechanics of the game whilst unlocking new tracks, characters and even kart customisation items along the way.

Speaking on PlayStation Blog, developer Thomas Wilson talked about how the originalCTR‘s Adventure Mode was a unique and popular feature, which the team were eager to bring back, while also tweaking it to provide more variety and reward for the new release. There will also be a “Classic” option for those who wish to experience the story just as they remember it.

Alongside this mode, players can expect a variety of other options including Time Attack, Boss Races, Gem Cups, Trophy Races and more, all presented with slick new visuals and online multiplayer.Nitro-Fueledwill pair classic kart racing gameplay with awesome modern-day tech and is shaping up to be a pretty nifty looking release.
