It’s about time

Though the Xbox Games Showcase showed off many follow-ups to well-established names, we’ve gotten some totally original titles too. A prime example of this isClockwork Revolution, a new game from the creators ofWasteland.

Ina blog post by InXile Studio Head Brian Fargo, we fortunately find a few details to give this world some context. As the title might imply,Clockwork Revolutionwill focus heavily on time travel. Fargo promises both “dynamic time-bending combat” and a plot centered around the gimmick. It looks like players will find themselves traveling to the past and making choices that will affect the future in substantial ways.

The post notes the team is “pushing roleplaying reactivity to new heights” with this game, so we’ll have to see how much player choice impacts the final product.

That said, don’t expect to seeClockwork Revolutionanytime soon. The post clarifies that the game is “still early in development,” and that this is just a sneak peak. The trailer says the game will “come in due time,” so we’ll stay tuned to learn more.
