I’ve been partial to the PS4’spolygonal retro skinsfor Crash, Coco, and Cortex ever since they made the rounds, but I’m sure I’ll find something else to glom onto after poring over the full list of character skins. For now, here’s a trailer showing some ofCrash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled‘s cosmetic choices.
How does the unlock system work? As you’d expect for a kart racer, basically.
According to Activision, customization items are “gained by progressing through the Adventure Mode and by earning Wumpa Coins. Collect these coins by playing the game then visit the game’s Pit Stop area and unlock a greater number of goodies. This means you can practice your racing, take on the game’s challenges, and unlock customization rewards to create the kart of your dreams.”
This might go without saying, but just in case, these sorts of items won’t impact your racer’s speed, acceleration, or turns. Rather, “your stats only change based on the character you play as.”
