It feels like forever ago when CD Projekt Red launched their clandestine review initiative forCyberpunk 2077on PC-only, and people found out that the PS4/Xbox One editions of the game looked like PS3/360 software. And it kinda was! Many refunds, delistings, and lawsuits later, Cyberpunk 2077 is now eight months old. The studio has been patching the game, very slowly, and just this week we got another round in 1.3. The focus this time is theCyberpunkminimap.

CD Projekt Red is still going for thecutesy-yet-annoying-to-parse “lore format” for patch notes, butyou can find the straight deal here too. Plus, we’ve embedded the most pertinent patch notes at the bottom.

Cyberpunk minimap

Here’s a developer comment for theCyberpunkminimap addition, which is one of the key elements of the patch:

“With the new minimap system software update you are able to see more and navigate better. Drive fast, drive safe.” — Andrzej, Programmer

As you may recall, the community modded in betterCyberpunkminimaps shortly after launch. The fact that it took eight months to do it officially is kind of unreal, and just another example of how people are fed up with AAA hype campaigns. A ton of stuff was fixed in 1.3 to make each difficulty level actually matter, too, like detection time changes and more aggressive AI. Again, all stuff that is standard for a launch of a AAA game.
