Certain changes are expected across the available game modes inEA FC 25when the game launches on September 27. However, few would have anticipated the possibility of getting a paid season pass.
Based on the information shared byVG247, EA Sports will launch a new version of the existing season pass (as seen inEA FC 24) in their upcoming title. While all the details aren’t available as of writing, the premium option will be available for purchase using both coins and FC points. Moreover, it will hand out rewards across Ultimate Team, Career Mode, and Clubs.

EA FC 25’s paid season pass would be fair for all
There’s always a risk when something like a paid season pass is introduced in a $70 AAA title. Last year, a lot of question marks were raised when 2K announced thatNBA 2K24would have paid upgrades for the season passes. So far, season passes have remained free throughout the course ofEA FC 24.
Karthik Venkateshan, a producer on Ultimate Team, told VG247 that the premium pass will be an extra set of rewards that can be unlocked by completing various objectives, on top of the free track.

“Like you may go back into the game and see the free tier as it would be what it was in24– then the premium pass is something we’re adding on top. That’ll be a shared thing across Clubs, Career and Ultimate Team. That’s new for25.”
Richard Waltz, Game Design Director for Ultimate Team, told VG247 that the paid season pass won’t induce FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) among theEA FC 25players.

“There’s no exclusive rewards that will mean that you have to do that. We’re going to be having players, packs, that sort of thing, in Clubs, customisation options. It’s also good to note that it will be available for both coins and FC Points as well, so you can decide.”
According to the report by VG247, a price point hasn’t been decided yet. It will be interesting to find out the community’s reactions when the premium season pass is introduced and whether they will be satisfied with the additional rewards on offer remains to be seen.
