Wizards of the Coast published the firstMagic: The Gatheringdecks over 30 years ago. Since then, numerous card sets have been introduced to the collectible card game. With the introduction of Secret Lair in 2020, along with many crossover expansions, MTG has gone from a release schedule of four to five sets every year to over two dozen in 2023 alone!
Other game modes, such asCommanderor Alchemy (Magic: The Gathering Arena’s exclusive game mode), have been receiving increased support from Wizards of the Coast. Sets specific to those formats have become regular releases alongside each of the standard MTG expansion sets.
Keeping up with the near-monthly releases is a job of its own. Luckily, we’ve handled most of the heavy lifting and compiled a list of everyMagic: The Gatheringset ever released. This list is in reverse order so that you’re able to see the latest sets at the top but can easily scroll down and find past sets.
