The Kindeman Remedyis a warped game about a disgraced doctor and morally bankrupt nun performing experiments on prisoners in an attempt to create a breakthrough treatment. It’s a pretty violent take on the medical management genre, as you torture and poison the inmates as you seek to restore the doctor’s reputation at any cost. You’re able to upgrade your facilities and manage resources as you perform your macabre work.
The whole horror-management mash-up genre has been growing lately, following the success ofGraveyard KeeperandRavenous Devils. Perhaps there’s some crossover between people who enjoy management games and misanthropes. A category that Ifit neatly into.
I dig it. I would have liked to review this one if the season wasn’t so packed. Really, I’m waiting for someone to make something based on real-world serial killerH.H. Holmes and his Murder Castle. Only, hopefully, based less on reality because that whole tale is really screwed up. I just like the idea of the location also being the murder weapon.
