TheHorizonfranchise has expanded past video games to feature comics as well as an upcoming television series. In 2020, it received a board game from Steamforged Games titledHorizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game. Another tabletop board game from Steamforged is on the way, and this one is titledHorizon Forbidden West: Seeds ofRebellion.
Seeds of Rebellionis a prequel taking place before the events ofHorizon Forbidden Westbut afterHorizon Zero Dawn. Steamforged worked closely with Guerrilla Games to create an authentic story within the game’s canon.
We don’t have too many details on the gameplay just yet, although Steamforged has stated that it can be played by 1 to 4 players, and it is designed to deliver a “fully cooperative, narrative-driventabletop experience.”
Seeds of Rebellion’s story
Discord is stirring among the Tenakth clans. It’s up to you and your fellow Marshals to figure out what’s going on and stop the rebellion before chaos erupts. During your campaign, you’ll face off against machines, but you’ll also have the chance to earn powerful equipment to give you a fighting chance.
