The Pit is an area that extends the life of your playthrough inDiablo 4. If you’re all about getting the perfect build, especially with all the changes in Loot Reborn, this is a mode that you can’t skip out on. Since it is an endgame area that is kind of hidden, here’s how to access The Pit inDiablo 4.
How to access The Pit inDiablo 4
To access The Pit inDiablo 4, you have to hit World Tier 4 and find theArtificer’s Obelisk. This can be found in Cerrigar, the main town in Scosglen. Near the Waypoint, head slightly upward and left to find it.
Once you find this Obelisk, you will need to spend a resource called aRuneshard. These are needed to open the portal to go into The Pit and earn endgame rewards. These can be rewarded from the following events:

How does The Pit work?
The Pit is like any other dungeon inDiablo 4, but it rewards you for being fast in killing. It’s a timed dungeon where you have to kill a certain amount of enemies to fill up a meter before your timer runs out. Once you have fulfilled that condition, you will be teleported to the boss room – The Guardian’s Lair.
Dying deducts 30 seconds from the time needed to complete it, so prepare a strong build that’s good for mobbing and bossing. Also, this activity starts at level 100, rising significantly, matching levels of the late stages of Nightmare Dungeons.

What do you get from completing The Pit?
You earn a plethora of Masterworking materials from successful Pit runs.Such materials include Obducite, Ingolith, and Neathiron. These tools are needed to further increase the potency of your weapons with the Blacksmith.
Upon your first completion of The Pit, you will unlock Masterworking. Here, you can improve the affixes of Ancestral Legendary and Unique items. You can also reset therolls of Tempered itemsto get another set of chances to re-roll a specific Affix onto a weapon that you didn’t successfully get.

So, once you tire out from other activities and want to better refine builds, try your luck at The Pit.
