Democracy cannot be properly managed without Helldivers, and Helldivers can’t do their part without the best gear equipped. There is a wealth of guns and armor inHelldivers 2, which means you have plenty of loadout options when you want to change things up.
You have two ways to change your default loadout inHelldivers 2. The first is at the Armory, a place on your ship that offers more than just equipment. If you need to swap your Liberator for your Punisher without leaving your allies waiting at the Hellpods, there’s also a second option.
The quickest way to change your default loadout inHelldivers 2
Once you beginearning new weapons and armor, your first stop should be at your ship’s Armory to customize your loadout. You can find the Armory on the left side of the connecting hallway that leads to the bridge. Look for the gun displays and armored mannequin equipped with a cape that also flutters valiantly regardless of wind. Oh, and it says ‘ARMORY’ above it. I should have pointed that out sooner.
Activate the Armory to use its functions. It offers five categories of options to choose from, but you want to focus on ‘Weaponry’ and ‘Armory’ to change your default loadout inHelldivers 2. The other tabs are also worth investigating:
Weaponry lets you choose your Primary, Secondary, and Grenade.
Armory, on the other hand, lets you change your Armor, Helmet, and Cape. Keep in mind that the weapons and armor are what’s most important to your loadout. And the cape, of course. A Helldiver must always stay cognizant of how cool they look.
Picking your weapons and armor in the Armory will set them as a part of your default loadout ahead of the mission brief. But you can change them before the mission begins.
How to change your loadout before the mission starts
Your team is gathered and ready to drop when you realize you didn’t wash the bug guts off your helmet and need to change. Well, never fear! After the drop location is chosen,Helldivers 2gives you one last chance to change your default loadout.
In the screen where you may pick your Stratagems, press the button or key next to ‘Equipment’. It takes you to a new menu where you can swap out your primary and secondary weapons, as well as change your gear.
Keep in mind thatchanging your loadout before the mission will keep it that way. If you want to swap your loadout back, it’ll be best to do that back at the Armory. But if you’re going to play more missions, then remember to alter your gear before the next one starts.
