In Patch 6.55,Final Fantasy XIVplayers got something that many have been dreaming of for a very long time –a backpack. Here’s a quick guide on how to get the new Knapsack and how to use Fashion Accessories, for those who are unfamiliar.
How to get the Knapsack
The short answer is thatyou’ll get the Knapsack as a guaranteed reward for the final post-Endwalker quest, but let’s go into it in a little more detail.
The quest that gives the Knapsack is called“The Coming Dawn,”and you pick it up by talking toG’raha Tia (X:10.0, Y:14.0) in Old Sharlayan.
During this quest, you’ll head to the Noumenon to gather more information about Tural (did you know that Popotoes originated there?), before discussing your findings with G’raha. You’ll also bump into Alphinaud and Alisaie, before heading back to the Baldesion Annex to tell Wuk Lumat that you’re going to come with her to Tural.
Once you’ve spoken toWuk Lumatand watched the final credits of Endwalker, talk to Ojika Tsunjika (X9.2 Y11.2), and he will reward you with your Knapsack.
How to use Fashion Accessories in FFXIV
The Knapsack falls under the same category asParasols and Wings— it’s equipped as a Fashion Accessory rather than as part of your actual glamor.
To use a Fashion Accessory,open the Character menu and select Fashion Accessories. The window displays all Fashion Accessories you currently own, including your Knapsack. Simply right click on it and select ‘equip’.
you’re able to wear a Fashion Accessory while doing overworld activities, including FATEs, butit will not display while undertaking dutiessuch as Dungeons or Raids.
