If you’ve bought a code online or in a rare case bought a physical PC game, you’ll want to redeem codes in EA Play. Here’s how to access your game or DLC that you’ve paid for in this client.

Where can you redeem codes in EA Play?

To redeem your codes in EA Play, head to the program and then look to the top right where your username is. Click that area and a menu pops up. Select “Redeem code,” which has a plus symbol next to it. It’s above “Settings” and below “Take the tour” as shown in the picture above.

After this, enter the code shown on a slip of paper inside the physical box or the one you’ve received from an online marketplace. If it says to redeem the game on Origin likeMirror’s Edge Catalyst,it will still work on the new EA Play app.

Once you’ve entered the code, an image of the game or DLC should appear on-screen, saying “Product Redeemed.”

How to check your playtime

If you’re wondering how many hours you or your children (if you have a family) have spent on a game, you may actually do that in EA Play. Head to the “Settings” selection on the same drop-down menu. The fourth tab should be “My Playtime.” It will then show a table of how many hours you’ve spent on a game likeThe Sims 4orDead Space. On the next tab “Family Playtime,” you can activate playtime limits. Unfortunately, you won’t see prior hours logged before activating this playtime feature.
