Activision put onanother oneof its Independent Games Competitions while we weren’t looking. Today, the two winning projects —Iron Dragonby Christopher Hui andPlanet Smashersby Michael Stanton — were announced. For their efforts, these designers are taking home $175,000 and $75,000, respectively.

Before you even think to ask, yes, the designers will retain full intellectual property rights.Iron Dragonis described as “an action flight adventure optimized for touch-screen devices,” whilePlanet Smashers(pictured above) is a 2D multiplayer shooter in which players can jump across moons.

It’s fartoo earlyto get an idea of how these titles will pan out, but clearly the judges at IndieCade were convinced enough to award them top honors.
