While thewildly successful early access medieval strategy/town-building gameManor Lordsmight have fallen out of the headlines for a little while, that may well change soon enough. A huge new content update is now on the horizon, adding a little something for virtually every kind of player.
Broadly speaking, the majority ofManor Lords‘ updates have been on the smaller side of the spectrum so far. One of the more prominent updatesintroduced fishing ponds, for example, which is a far cry from what’s coming in the next patch. With two brand new maps headlining the content list,Manor Lordsdeveloper Slavic Magic is about to substantially expand the game’s content roster, as well as overhauling some of its more problematic and/or questionable simulation aspects.

For what it’s worth, Slavic Magic hasn’t spent all that many words discussing the specific bits and bobs that are being added. TheSteam blog postis fairly succinct, in fact, which is well in line withthe developer’s previous communications on the matter.
Regardless, the upcoming update (which doesn’t currently appear to have a release window, mind) is supposed to feature:

Hefty, right? Slavic Magic sadly hasn’t gone into any significant detail on what the aforementioned reworks might entail. We just know that the developer has “tested three different systems to find an engaging, intuitive, and easy-to-understand solution” for the Marketplace feature and that the Ale and Water distribution networks are currently in closed testing. The bit that has been revealed will thrill advanced players, however: the new Marketplace UI will have a comprehensive set of filters, which is a highly sought-after feature on the discussion boards.
