Sony’s video-based advertised serviceQoremay have some stiff competition in the future. Microsoft recently filed for a trademark for the name “Astuto.” Thetrademark’s descriptiondescribesAstutoas “an on-line magazine and web site featuring information in the field of computer games, science fiction, games and entertainment” for use “on computers and video game players.”
There’s no mention of having to pay for theAstuto, and as with some trademarks, there’s no guarantee it will become an actual product. Chances are that it will float into the abyss. The same place where games likeAlan WakeandDuke Nukem: Foreverare residing.

By the way,Astutomeans “astute” or “clever” in Italian and Spanish.Qoremeans … nothing in any language spoken by humans.
