Switching gears fromMega Man, let’s talk about Archie’s other, much bigger videogame comic,Sonic the Hedgehog. This one might interest some of you non-Soniccomic fans, as it offers clues towards the upcomingSonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II.
Sonic Super Specialis a quarterly magazine that covers the ArchieSonicuniverse. For the third issue, there will be a pair of special comic chapters included. The first is aSonic CDadaptation, which is in fact a reprint that appeared in one of the earliest issues in the ArchieSonicchronology. The second is a prologue that leads up to the events inEpisode II.
As of this moment, all we know ofEpisode IIis that it relates somehow toSonic CDand that Metal Sonic will feature prominently. The game is expected to release in the second half of this year, and the magazine should arrive this spring. If you are the kind ofSonicfan who dearly cares about the games’ narrative and how it all ties together, this could possibly be worth your time.
