Well, we knew we were going to seeing a new 3DMariotoday, but we had no idea what it would turn out to be. Iwata announced this morning on Nintendo’s E3 Direct that it’ll beSuper Mario 3D World! The game takes a lot of cues fromSuper Mario 3D Landfor the 3DS.
The game will have a multiplayer component where you’re able to play as either Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad. Each character will have powers much likeSuper Mario Bros. 2. The new suit this time around is a cat suit; look how adorable it is! The cat suit can scratch enemies and climb walls.
Super Mario 3D Worldis coming to the Wii U this December.
