PC cowpokes will have to hold their horses

It’s official. The RockstarRed Dead Redemption 2page is now live. Not a surprise given the recent hints dropped on Twitter. Some may have been wishing for a new a title in theRed Deadseries, but given the massive success ofRedemptionit only makes sense. We’ll be getting the first trailer this Thursday, October 20 at 11:00am EST.

Logos for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are shown. So those of you who were still waiting for a PC release of the first game better get your act together and play the first somehow. It’s so good it’s totally worth borrowing or buying a cheap used 360 or PS3 somewhere. Do it!

The description reads the next Rockstar blockbuster will tell an “epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.” Which comes not long after theRed Dead Onlinedomain was registered.

Looks like we’ll be getting a big online experience on the scale ofGrand Theft Auto V, which made massive improvements from the online inGTA IV. I hope a similar improvement is made. While the online in the firstRed Dead Redemptionwas fun, it seemed lacking.

Given the multiple characters displayed in the teaser images, some have speculated multiple protagonists, again likeGTA V. What are your hopes for the game? This is DLC territory, but how about an alien invasion for aCowboys vs. Aliensknock-off? Clint Eastwood character?
