Get ready to rumble

Bandai Namco’s cool & cute rhythm action gameTaiko no Tatsujinis coming to Nintendo Switch in Japan later this month. However, if a recent listing on theAustralian video games classification boardis to be believed, the West will also get in on the skin-bashing action.

A cultural phenomenon in Japan and a regular haunt of the arcade scene,Taiko no Tatsujinrequire rapid-fire, hand-to-eye coordination, a great sense of rhythm and surprisingly strong forearms, as players bash their way through tunes in a manner akin to Nintendo classicDonkey Konga.

There was already word out that an English language patch would be applied to the Japanese Switch release. With this ratings classification – under the nameTaiko Drum ‘n’ Fun– chances are Western audiences will see a fully localised release in the future. Of course, we also need to get the drum accessories on these shores, or there’s no point. So fingers crossed for an announcement soon.
