Team Sonic Racing is the first Sonic game to top UK Charts since 2008

Team Sonic Racingis this week’s UK Charts number one. Sumo Digital’s kart racer usurped Bethesda’sRage 2in physical sales to take the chequered flag, becoming the first game featuring the blue blur to hit the top spot since 2008 Wii releaseMario & Sonic at the Olympic Games.

Rage 2and fellow heavy-hitterMortal Kombat 11have both slipped a few places, while Sony Bend’s biker adventureDays Goneremains steadfast at number two. With regards to new releases, the Switch edition ofAssassin’s Creed III: Remastereddebuted at number 15, while Sony’s immersive golf simEverybody’s Golf VRlaunched at number 22.

Elsewhere in the charts, Focus Home’s gripping adventureA Plague Tale: Innocenceand Rebellion’s headhunting shooterSniper Elite V3 Remasteredboth peaked hard, having dropped out of the upper tier to settle at number 31 and 28 respectively.
