No name yet, but here’s a teaser

The “one last thing” at theNacon Connect 2022showcase was a newTerminatorgame for PC and consoles, and while we don’t have a name yet — or anything concrete, footage-wise — we do know this is the “first survival game set in theTerminatoruniverse.”

I bet you can predict everything that happens in this teaser trailer.

Terminator survival game from Nacon

Nacon’sTerminatorsurvival game is in production at Nacon Studio Milan, rather than Teyon, the team behindTerminator: Resistance, which some fans have rallied around.

Open-world survival in the wake of Judgment Day

“The game takes place in a post-apocalypticopen worldand features anoriginal storythat builds on the events of the official films,”according to the studio.

“You play as a group of nuclear apocalypse survivors fighting to stay alive in a time period between Judgment Day and the creation of John Connor’s resistance.”

With little to grasp yet, this is a harder sell than another ’80s-icon-turned-game,RoboCop: Rogue City, which shared the first look at gameplay during Nacon’s stream.

After playing way too many survival games, I can imagine what this gamecouldlook like — and really, I feel like it could go either way. Genre, scope, and budget are all top of mind when it comes to licensed games like this. And to me, this team is a wildcard. I am vaguely into the idea of fighting for life in an intimidating machine-dominated world, though.

Are you open to a Skynet survival game, or have you had your fill ofTerminatortie-ins by now? Come to think of it, I’ve gone pretty deep in the Sega Genesis and SNES libraries over the years, but I’ve never touchedRoboCop Versus The Terminator. Hmm.
