When I got an e-mail in my inbox about aThree Musketeersgame appearing on WiiWare this spring, I got a little happy in the pants. I love Alexandre Dumas’ tale of heroism and hadn’t even heard of the PC game which is being ported to Nintendo’s download service.

Now that I’ve seen these screenshots, I wish I had remained ignorant. Perhaps these aren’t the best examples or something, but the cel-shaded design and art direction looks very similar to something I coughed up this morning. I’m usually one of the last people to trumpet the need for appealing graphics in a game but the, “sword-swinging  platform adventure” had better have some really compelling gameplay to make up for this.
