HoYoverse has officially confirmed that Varesa will be released in the first phase ofGenshin Impact5.5. This means her banner will be available as soon as the new version goes live.

The version 5.5 livestream revealed that Varesa will be released in the first phase, which will go live onMarch 26, 2025, at 11 am (UTC+8). Since this time zone doesn’t apply to everyone, here is a list of Varesa’s banner release timings in different time zones:

Varesa will also get a new signature weapon called Vivid Notions. It is a 5-star Catalyst and will be featured on the weapon banner during the first half, so the timer above also applies to its release.

While Varesa has been mentioned several times in the game, she will make her first in-game appearance in version 5.5. She is from Collective of Plenty in Natlan and is Iansan’s pupil. Meanwhile, as a playable entity, Varesa is a new 5-star Electro character who uses a Catalyst and excels at dealing Plunging Attack DMG.
Similar to other Natlan characters, Varesa also has a special exploration ability. When in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state and not in battle, her sprint speed and stamina consumption is increased. Furthermore, her party members will restore 20 Phlogiston when consuming food in Natlan.
