There was some concernthat the 2011 Tokyo Game Show might be affected by the March 11 earthquakes that struck Japan. CESA says that while there was some damage to the convention center, repair work is already under way. Great to hear. There was also some concern that rolling power outages would cause problems, but CESA doesn’t seem worried. They’ve sent word that everything looks clear for the September 15-18 event this fall. Great news. I’m already excited for the event.

CESA says that they will also be holding charity auctions and other fundraising events for relief.Andriasangsays that details on these events will be announced soon. It would be cool if they auctioned off a trip to TGS for international gamers. This is a thing that you have to see at least once in your gaming life.
