We’ll find out for sure on May 12
Six months ago,a rumor surfacedthat the nextAssassin’s Creedwould be set in Victorian London. Although the report looked extremely credible, we hadn’t ever received anything in the way of confirmation from Ubisoft that it was accurate. As it turns out, we’ll only have to wait five more days to know for sure.
Ubisoft has updated theAssassin’s Creedsite with areveal page. A “world premiere event” live stream will take place on the series’ YouTube channel on May 12 at 9 a.m. Pacific. It’s there that we will presumably be told the game’s official name and premise.

It’s been forecast that the nextAssassin’s Creedwill be titledVictory. The teaser material supports that theory, at least with regard to connections with Victorian London. The pages for North American regions zoom in on a pair of brass knuckles while it plays some audio. Upon saving the video, you’re treated to a full version of that still image, which reads “God save the Queen” in the lower left-hand corner.
European regionshave a clip that offers possibly even more information. That video of a pair of crossed hands seems innocuous enough. However, Ubisoft named this file “ACVI_Jacobs_Hands” which indicates that Roman numeral six might be in the game’s name, and that the protagonist is very possibly named Jacob.

This will all be cleared up in less than a week. For now, we have some solid clues to work with.
