Over 15 years ago, the originalWorld of Goowas launched on PC and the Wii console, with today’s Nintendo Direct revealing its sequel’s release date for July 23, 2025, as a console exclusive on Nintendo Switch.
The Nintendo Direct featured gameplay footage ofWorld of Goo 2. Like its predecessor, you use small goo balls to create bridges and platforms to solve puzzles, navigate the world, and reach the factory pipes endpoint. It also has new mechanics, such as goo turrets and terraforming, to make puzzle-solving more challenging. Unlike the firstWorld of Goo,World of Goo 2will also feature local co-op compatibility, supporting up to four players in one save.
World of Goo 2will be available as a console exclusive on Nintendo Switch starting June 27, 2025.
